Do you look at wedding blogs? Do you love beautiful weddings like I do? I have 3 girls – so we just may have 3 weddings in our future! I have a pinterest board titled ‘wedding ideas’. While I know my girls will have their own ideas and most of the decision making will be what THEY want – I can’t help but have great ideas I like in one place to go through. My teenager tends to like the same things I do and she turns to me for my opinion on fashion and decor. If that trend continues I do believe planning her wedding will be a delight.
Do you ever find yourself looking at a beautiful wedding and discover your mouth is hanging open in awe? And you find yourself wondering where in the world they got all the wonderful stuff they used to make it so beautiful? The props, the photo ops, the serving station pieces, the decor.
Some people go out and round it all up themselves. They paint, they collect, they create. But what if you don’t really enjoy the hunt for all that cool stuff? Of course, if you want to purchase it all yourself I’m sure you could find a friend or acquaintance you could hire to do the ‘picking’ for you. But what if you don’t want all those pieces around after the wedding??
Guess what!?! They RENT those lovely props and photo ops and serving stations and decor! Wedding Rentals are a wonderful idea to help people create the wedding of their dreams.
While I love this kind of thing and would enjoy the hunt, I also know that putting a wedding together takes TIME. Time hunting all the right pieces might not be available to everyone. And some of the pieces you want might not be found for a cheap price to purchase.
Enter a wedding rental company. At the event I set up at a few weeks ago my hostess’ business was just that – a rental company. For cool props for weddings – or any event you wanted cool props for. Having an anniversary celebration for your parents? Need a prop or serving station piece you don’t have and you really don’t want to buy one? Rent it! Birthday party need just the right finishing touch you don’t have? Rent it! Photo shoot need a boost and you don’t have time to shop for new props? Rent it!
Thobe Rentals has really really cool stuff. Honestly, I was blown away but all the great stuff in one place. What fun to pick out all the great pieces you needed for your event – all in one place! And their prices were reasonable, and Allisa is so nice and easy to work with. They even offers a delivery service for a reasonable fee.
Allisa’s business has the look and feel of professionalism and elegance. She knows her stuff! And the business is just a few months old! Way to go Allisa – your ROCK! She has great stuff, a great place to browse her inventory, and she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She puts you at ease, she wants things to be as smooth and easy for you as possible, and she really cares about people. I can’t say enough about how wonderful she is.
If you need props for your event check out Thobe Rentals. You can also go follow her on her facebook page – all the likes we business owners can get helps out!
The shutters, door, and darling chandi was my favorite. I’m going to come up with something I can justify renting that for! Some photo shoot is just begging me to use that – I just have to figure out which one 😀
Thanks again, Allisa, for hosting the event – I’m looking forward to another one!
Sew a Fine Seam
Ok, now how much much was that? Love it!
Doesn’t she have great pieces?! I love the idea of being able to rent great props when I don’t have the time or money to go purchase the stuff for myself!
What an awesome idea ~ I just attended a wedding and the bride thrifted 150 cute plates, they were so charming on the tables, but we were all wondering what she’s going to do with them! 🙂
Exactly! If you have a use for the stuff, want it for yourself, or have a business where you can resell it great – but if not? Use a rental service!
What a very nice fellow blogger you are to show case her business. Many times people don’t know about places like her wedding rental business. I would think having a business like that could be quite interesting, unless they had to deal with too many bridezillas.
I’ve watched several shows about finding their wedding gown on TLC. I’d like to smack the mother’s or some other person that insists on being horrible to the bride. To me it’s the brides day why is the Mother or whomever being such a beastie about everything to her.
Makes me glad hubs and I had a very small quiet wedding. There was no reception, I didn’t even have flowers, we could hardly afford the minister or to buy rings for each other. I already had 3 small kids. My own brother couldn’t be bothered to come to give me away. My Sil came and had to borrow an outfit from me to wear. My Mom took care of my kids for the night and next day we had to get them. 3 1/2 weeks later (Dec.26,68) hubs went off to Viet Nam as a Jolly Green, helicopter rescue and recovery over into the bad side of DMZ’s. He was a flight engineer operating the winch to haul shot down pilots into chopper.
I’m sure glad there are great people out there that can help a bride and save her/family money/stress. Great for you to let people know about her business.
She’s a great gal to share with everyone!
That is a great idea. What fun, too. It was so much fun doing our daughter’s weddings. One was huge and cost a fortune and was beautiful and one was very small and intimate and equally beautiful. You will have a ball, Jill, when the time comes- xo Diana
I think small and intimate sounds fun 🙂
This is an awesome idea! She has some amazing items. How fun would it be to just play around with vignettes with all these pieces! My girls and I have talked about how we’d love to do something similar. It looks like so much fun! A lot of work…but fun!
It is a great idea – you would be wonderful at it!
Hi Jill, I just read your spotlight over at Must Love Junk and wanted to pop over for a visit. What a fun post! My daughter and I have talked about doing something similar ever since we planned her wedding a couple of years ago. I loved seeing more about how it’s done! I’m going to go poke around a little more and add you to my blogroll. Nice to “meet” you!
Jeanette
It is a cool idea – I love the fact that it’s so close to me and I can rent stuff anytime!
Thanks for sharing this! I had no idea that wedding rental companies had stuff like this! When I start planning the decor for my wedding, I’ll be sure to look at different rental places. It would be awesome if I could find a bunch of rustic looking stuff for the reception.
Wedding rentals are becoming a big thing. it’s a great way to get the stuff you need for awesome wedding decor but not have to hunt and buy and then resell it all after the wedding!
