I was privileged to be the photographer at a friends wedding this summer! And I’m finally sharing some pics. Wedding photography is fun, creative, fast-paced, amazing and stimulating. It can also be stressful, sweaty, and hard work. But the first list of adjectives trumps the second in my book. (that might change if I totally messed up though :D) When shooting a wedding you have to think fast, move fast, and a lot of it is a one time chance. If you miss the shot during the processional or ceremony you can’t back up and redo the shot. But to me, that’s part of the fun. I’m not sure I really want to get into being the main, or only, photographer for a lot of weddings but I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the wedding photography I have done.
I’ve been a bit MIA around this blog lately. I hadn’t even opened my laptop since sometime last Friday! But now I’m back and I have a wedding peek for you – a very quick peek – and an update on what I’m up to.
My girls and I took a trip to Indiana over the weekend. My hubby has cousins who live there and we love to spend time with them. This trip was a working trip for me
A few ago we went to a wedding. The groom is my nephew (on my husband’s side of the family). He was in MY wedding over 16 years ago – the cute little guy who walked up the aisle with the flower girl! Since we didn’t have rings at our wedding he wasn’t technically a ring bearer so I’m not sure what title to give him!
Today I’m going to share some of the wedding reception photos with you that I promised you last week. I have a post started about our ‘Vacation on a Budget’ but it’s not finished yet and the photos are not edited. I downloaded over 600 pics last night – and I haven’t even got through looking at all of them yet. I’ll be back soon with that and I still have photos of the shop in Pickerington to show you! The fun just never ends 😀
More Wedding Photos! I had so much fun helping shoot this wedding. I feel very privileged to have been a part of capturing the memories of such a delightfully put together day. I would love to photograph a couple more weddings next season! If you are in need of a photographer for your wedding or know of someone who is – lets talk!
I am finally sharing wedding photos! I helped photograph this wedding this past Summer and it was such an awesome and fun experience. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity! I’ll share a few of my favs now and there will be more coming soon!
Do you look at wedding blogs? Do you love beautiful weddings like I do? I have 3 girls – so we just may have 3 weddings in our future! I have a pinterest board titled ‘wedding ideas’. While I know my girls will have their own ideas and most of the decision making will be what THEY want – I can’t help but have great ideas I like in one place to go through. My teenager tends to like the same things I do and she turns to me for my opinion on fashion and decor. If that trend continues I do believe planning her wedding will be a delight.
When you live in Ohio you learn that when dealing with the weather anything is possible. If it’s supposed to rain – it doesn’t. If it’s supposed to be sunny – it isn’t. Windy – it will be still. Calm – it will about blow you away. I might be exaggerating a bit but only a bit 😀
This past Saturday I set up shop at an event in a town about 20 minutes from where I live. Just a small set-up of my stuff, some handmade items, my MMSMP dresser, my newly Chalk Painted chair, and a few odds and ends.
Today I’m sharing some more wedding photos with you. I edited over 50 pics last night – I’ll share about 20 of them today and save the rest for another day! Today we have mainly the bride and groom together. This couple is so cute and so much in love. They have liked each other since HE started winking at HER in grade school! How sweet is that?!
Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue…This wedding definitely had the ‘Something Blue’ 🙂 It was beautiful. Everything flowed so well, and was so lovely.
April is almost here! And hard on its heels will be the wedding season in full swing. In honor of that I thought I’d bring you a post from the archives – a wedding dress I made 2 years ago.
The photos are with the old point and shoot and they are also before I began editing my photos. I look at them now and want to brighten and lighten them 🙂 Maybe someday I will take time to go back and edit some old photos. But not now. Too much on the calendar for April. Why does it get beyond crazy every single year? Oh well, wouldn’t want to get bored 😀
So here you go – straight from the archives –
Photographing a wedding was never on my bucket list. I bought my DSLR Nikon 5100 early this spring. I had no big dreams or ambitions, I just needed a new camera and decided it was time to go for a ‘real’ camera instead of another point and shoot. I’ve always liked taking pictures. And I enjoyed editing them in Picasa for the past couple …Continue Reading…
