I really can’t believe it is August! Where did summer go? I know it is technically still summer but my mind is turning to all things fall. School. Colorful leaves. Chilly nights. Misty mornings. The huge, orange harvest moon. Fields turning golden. Combines humming through the fields. Pumpkins! Campfires. Smores. Snuggling under a warm quilt. Hot chocolate.
I love fall. The only thing that dims my love off fall is the fact that winter cold and snow follow. I do not love winter. But it is not winter yet, and the anticipation of fall is a wonderful thing! We have been having cooler weather – unusual for the end of July and he beginning of August in Ohio. I am sure the hot sun will return before the month is out!
Decorating for fall is such fun. There are so many things in nature you can bring inside. My hydrangeas dry so pretty and I will use them from now till next Spring when the plants begin to put on new blooms.
Remember my Sticks and Leaves and Flowers creation from last year? I’m thinking it sounds fun to create something again!
I know it’s still a few weeks away but today I’m dreaming of fall. How soon can I decorate with my faux acorns? 😀
The dresses for the wedding tomorrow were finished last night. I also painted the girls bed. Today I shot my beauty shots for my magazine contribution. Tomorrow I help photograph that wedding! Look for pics of the dresses on the blog next week!

Oh- I am not quite ready to give up Summer yet, Jill, but your images are great- xo Diana
I’m not ready to give summer up yet either but this time of year does it to me every time! I think it’s the ‘having to think about school’ that does it!
I’m so sad it seems like summer has been a blink of an eye! 🙁 I remember loving your fall decor last year!
I think summer decor kind of gets missed around here since I’m so busy during the wedding season. So I’m always ready to re-decorate for fall!
