January is following in the footsteps of the whole of 2015 and hotfooting its way right past us! Or maybe it just seems that way to me? I look at my work load and my schedule and what I need to be working on and it seems before I blink the day is past. And here we are – six days in already 😀

January always seems to bring a flurry and bustle of cleaning and organizing. Maybe it’s partly the new year stretching out like a clean blank slate, a new start, new beginnings. I think it’s a great time to clear out the clutter that invariably happens over 12 months of living and family and happenings.

The Christmas decor gets packed up, leaving behind a trail of glitter and ribbon and snowdust and memories. And it’s just a great way to start a new year – by sweeping out the dust and cobwebs, scrubbing off the old fingerprints and smudges and fluffing the home to make it warm and inviting. I’m thinking a fresh coat of paint for my walls really MUST happen this month.

As the New Year arrives in just a few short hours, I’m sharing with you a fun paper craft I created using tissue paper and book pages. I then used my newly crafted items to set up a New Years Table Setting.

Hello peeps, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! 2015 is almost ready to close its final page in history, and today I’m sharing one last Project Challenge for this year.

I DID IT! I managed to pull it off every single month and create something to share with you out of a given item, something different each month. I was pretty determined to see it through for the whole year and I DID IT!

This month our category was vintage books or sheet music, and I’ve created some pretty fun place card holders made out of old books. I’m really quite happy with how my creations turned out, and I’ve been so excited to share them with you. I almost gave in to the temptation to give you a sneak peek on IG but I refrained.

I’ve been wrapping gifts! I still need to do some shopping but not too much. How about you? Is your shopping done? How about your gift wrapping?!

I had these cool round boxes that were a bit like old hat boxes, just not so big. And I wanted to do something fun with them to turn them into cute gift boxes for Christmas.

So I created a Paper Covered Gift Box Upcycle. Using plaid wrapping paper and wool ribbon. My 10yo put her gift for her best friend in it.
