Olive Juice is one of my favorite places to buy kids clothes. Or I should say WAS one of my favs. My girls are getting a bit too old for most of it. While I still love it and the younger two could still wear it, for some reason they don’t love it like I do. I think there is some unwritten rule that if your Mom likes it you can’t 😀 Anyone tracking with me here??!!
Birthday Party
My oldest daughter was our only daughter for 4 and a half years before her little sister came along. When I had birthday parties for her I went all out – planning weeks and sometimes a couple months in advance. I loved getting all the details in place and creating a fun party. Daughter number 2 had a few parties with all the details and daughter number 3 had a couple – well, maybe one! Somehow my stamina for getting all those fun details together waned as I got busier and had more kids to take care of.
This past weekend I was privileged to help out a friend who was putting together a fun, detailed birthday party for her little 1 year old. My friend had all the details and crafty fun made, the decor items gathered, and she just wanted a bit of help getting it all set up. I was delighted to help out – and I took my camera so I could share!!
Easter Dresses
I remember as a young girl the excitement of new clothes and shoes in the spring.
As a tween and young teen I agonized over what looked right and what was ‘in’.
With my little girls the question was ‘to make’ or to buy’. I’ve done both. Usually if I am making them I let it go right down to the wire and am madly finishing things up at the last-minute. I’ve made some elaborate dresses that involved smocking and tucking and used fine fabrics and I’ve gone the quick and simple route. Becca’s Easter dress last year was of the quick and simple variety.
