Happy November! The weather here is gorgeous and I’m pretending it’s going to just stay that way 🙂
I’ve been working hard lately getting all my Christmas pillows ready to share with you. Â Some designs from last year are making a reappearance but there is some new stuff too!
This post is rather long, but it does showcase almost all of my Christmas pillows, and gives some info on where to purchase them.
The sales that will be online will be loaded and ready to go by Friday evening this week.
Christmas comes earlier every year it seems and I already feel behind this year. Â As a retailer and designer it’s best to work a few months ahead, at least, but I seem to never quite make my goal of 3 months ahead!
Back in the springtime I happened to be hanging out at the shop where I retail my goods, when a fabric salesman came by. Â I took a look through his samples and when I spied this minky, red and black buffalo check I jumped on it and ordered a whole bolt. Â A fun change, and it mixes in very well with the canvas. Â These red and white pillows are detailed in plain white, a black, white and grey plaid, and a white with with tiny black dots. Â I love all three as well as the different stag designs, a stag head, standing stag, and rack mount.
Also available plain, to make for a fun mix and match.
These black and red check pillows are the same 20×20 size as the rest of my square pillows and come with a feather insert. Â Available online, at Smith Merchants in Arcanum, Ohio and also at Midwest Memories in Tipp City Ohio.
NOT AVAILABLE FOR WHOLESALE.
The plaid-on-plaid is a bit controversial – not everyone in my household likes it – and I debated on whether or not to do it. Â But I decided I rather liked it and maybe someone else would too!
Red and Black plaid also made an appearance on the original canvas pillows, with moose heads and stag heads making a comeback.
Another plaid that captured my heart this year is this extra-large red, white, and blue. Â I love the stag heads and moose heads made with this one, and I also used this plaid earlier to make some truck and camper pillows. Â They sold out at the market I took them to and I haven’t had time to restock. Â I will be working on those this week and next to get them in the shop by our Christmas open house.
A limited amount of deer heads and moose heads are available. Â I will be listing a few online this week with the rest will available in the shops.
WHOLESALE AVAILABILITY IS LIMITED – CHECK WITH ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED
Fun striped sweater turned into stag heads and moose heads.
The I ♥ U pillow has made a comeback this season and looks lovely in plaid!  This one hasn’t been in production for a couple years so it was fun to bring it back.
My Me&You pillow is fun in red too.
Made from new kitchen towels that I sourced last year, I have two large square pillows and a handful of small pillows. Â These will only be available at Smith Merchants.
The Noel is cut from a fabric I found at a shop this summer. Â The shop was closing and everything was marked down. Â Even though it felt funny to be buying Christmas fabric in the hot summertime I knew I shouldn’t pass up a good deal. Â I’m also thinking the fabric would be fun to cut some stag heads for the canvas pillows.
Farmhouse has a new font that matches the other words in the Sew a Fine Seam family. Â Red for Christmastime, it can add a fun pop of color to your sofa.
The plaid trucks were so fun I decided to try out this red and cream fabric for Christmas and I’m just a little bit in love!
Not to be outdone by the truck, the camper tried out for this fabric too.
This one has a little doggie detail.
This camper sports a little kitty in the window.
These campers are one-of-a-kind and each one is different.
Remember last year’s Merry and Bright pillows? Â I had my designer put together some other word art but didn’t have time to make those last season. Â This year they make their appearance!
For the neutral lovers the black, grey, and white plaid on the canvas is understated elegance.
If you love really neutral like I do these white on canvas will speak to you too!
I ordered these felt poinsettias late last season and never got around to using them. Â I pulled them out this year and created two poinsettia tree pillows. Â These will both be available at Smith Merchants and these may be the only two available this season.
NOT AVAILABLE FOR WHOLESALE
Prince of Peace, available in red, grey, or duck egg blue, with black available as well as a special requests.
I’ve made sweater lambs and wool donkeys in a limited number. Â Available at Smiths and Midwest Memories and perhaps online.
NOT AVAILABLE FOR WHOLESALE
A lowly donkey carried Mary safely to Bethlehem. Â I wonder if he had any inkling that he was playing a role in such a significant event in the history of mankind?
When I was in school we had a Christmas program every year. Â One year we sang a song that had the line ‘I will celebrate nativity’ in it and the song has always stuck with me. Â It seemed a fitting quote to add to this scene.
This artwork is not a free artwork and I purchased a commercial license to be able to use it on items I would offer for sale.
Last year’s North Pole with latitude and longitude coordinates is making a reappearance this year and brings with it this arrow that I designed and made myself.
All pillows that will be available online will be in my shop by Friday evening.
Have a wonderful November and happy prepping for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
