All over blogland the frenzy of Christmas projects and decor has been keeping us steeped in glitter and pinecones and ornaments and all things Holiday related. It’s fun to see everyone’s homes wearing their Christmas best. The trees have been amazing this year and the housewalks have been plentiful and decked to the hilt.
Today I’m going to share a few photos with you that are bit different. As I was shooting my ‘beauty shots’ of my living room on the only sunny day we’ve had in weeks, I stopped and looked around. And I just had to snap a few not-so-pretty shots to share.
Here’s to keeping it real with the Christmas Decor Frenzy!
You can see my home tour here if you missed it.
As I was shooting this room, I did all the things a blogger does – fluffing the pillows, straightening the rug, rearranging the gifts, making sure all the stray socks and bits of string were picked up.
And then I looked behind me – the sweeper was shoved just out of view of the whole room shot. The dining table was piled high. Bits of this and that kept getting shoved out of the camera’s view as I angled the camera for different shots.
With a rueful smile I turned around and shot the not-so-pretty scene. Cause everyone appreciates a bit of ‘keeping it real’ now and then don’t they?
It’s bad peeps – really bad. I’ve done a quick organization of the mess in my workroom. I’ve totally and completely outgrown the space but at the moment I still have to make it work – somehow. Hoping God has something else in store for me in the (near) future!
So there you are my friends – just keeping it real with the Christmas decor frenzy! It’s home and we live in it. Yes we like it pretty and neat and clean but life happens 😀
