November is flying by! I’ve started my Christmas decorating – way earlier than normal. Usually all the glitter and fun comes out on Black Friday. But this year I have a store to decorate and an open house to prepare for. If I want my house decorated too I have to start earlier. It feels a bit funny, cause I’m not quite in the Christmas mood yet, but it’s still lovely to have the white lights glowing softly in the living room. It’s not so lovely to have the tall stack of tubs that the Christmas decor is stored in sitting in the way. I’ll get it finished up later this week I hope, and send the empty boxes back to the basement.
While we are contemplating early Christmas decor let me remind you that it’s time to be thinking about Christmas cards! Go here if you missed my post about cards last Friday.
I’m writing this post on Saturday night – it will post on Monday morning. If all goes as planned I will be in the sunny south Monday, paint training! I’ll be home late Tuesday night and will update you everything as soon as I can. I have 4 pillow orders waiting on me when I get back so I know I’ll be hitting the ground running but I’ll do my best to get back to the blog too. My sewing assistant will be busy getting the pillows all cut and ready for me to work on – huge weight off my shoulders!
If you missed my post about zuccinin pie you really should check it out. It’s a must for holiday treats!
My ‘Jewelry In Candles’ giveaway ended and the winner is up on the rafflecoptor. She’s been contacted and I’m awaiting her reply so I can get her candle headed her way.
If you are starting to Christmas shop and need some small, pretty, but useful gifts for stockings or hostess gifts hop on over to my post about the homemade soap.
Wow Jill, you are one busy stylin’ lady, so happy for your new ventures. How exciting, can hardly wait to hear about it all, see photos.
Went out for treat time for chickens, our poor little polish chicken has to run away from them all the time. One of the chickens I don’t like at all keeps attacking her, I was out there when she did it so chased her away and scolded her good. Kept trying to get Fuzzy’s treat pile. Have to give it to her away from others so she can get some otherwise they eat it all and mean chicken chases her, attacks her.
Boy it’s pretty darned chilly here today, wind is cold. Went out to give treat to chickens in just a heavy sweat shirt and was freezing in that cold wind.
Hope you have good trip, be safe. Happy week dear friend.
Jill, it does seem early, but we just had our Christmas Open House at our shop, and people were ready to buy Christmas decor!! Can’t wait to see your decorations 🙂

I’m always ready to buy new decor as soon as it hits the stores! I like that the stuff is available early – the month of December flys by so fast it just isn’t enough time to enjoy it all!
Love the part about all the Christmas bins being piled up! I know all about that. I always start decorating on Black Friday as well 🙂
🙂 I’m hoping by Black Friday I can sit back and just enjoy all the Christmas decor! It’s been nice to work at it slowly this year instead of trying to get it all doen in one or two days.
It’s been cold enough here this week, that it makes it seem Christmasey. With the early evenings, it is cozy to have little lights on. I love lamplight and the light from strings of Christmas lights. We haven’t got Christmas decor out yet, but both my kids did mention it. I think because of the weather and having our wood furnace fired up!
It’s way too cold here – but endure it we shall – no other choice besides traveling south and that’s not going to happen!
