Christmas cards. Those cute little paper things you send out to friends and family every Christmas. You include a picture. Sometimes a amily picutre. Most time just the kids – cause it’s just easier than trying to get a whole family photo. I used to plan weeks in advance what I was going to do for my Christmas cards. Something fun and crafty and cute. And the pics of my kids were always well planned out in advance, coordinating outfits, cute props, photo shoot scheduled early, pics ordered and delivered in time to mail the cards the first of December.
That’s what I USED to do. A long time ago. When my oldest was 9 instead of my youngest being 9. (side note – young mothers you WILL be busier when those babies and toddlers get older. Your welcome. I knew you would appreciate that 😀 )
In more recent years I would get some pics printed at the last minute, stuff them in envelopes and slap some postage on them. I was doing good to get them mailed in time for them to arrive on December 24th.
And then the Christmas of 2013 arrived. And passed. And I didn’t send a single Christmas card.
‘Maybe I’ll send New Year’s cards’ I thought.
But January slid into February and I thought ‘maybe Valentines?’
And then ‘Mabye Easter, yeah, this year I’ll do Easter Cards. My sister does that and likes it. I’ll just do that.’
And then Easter was past and I pretended I had sent Christmas cards and pushed all thoughts of sending cards to the very farthest back shelf of my mind.
And now guess what?! It’s November again – and high time to be thinking about sending Christmas cards for 2014. And this year I’m thinking I’m going to let Minted take care of my cards.
Aren’t these some cute options?! And that’s just a very small sampling of what you will find on Minted’s site!
I love so many of their options. Besides the cool designs the offer double thick paper, triple thick paper, pearlescent paper or heavy recycled paper besides their signature paper. You can get flat cards or folded cards. You can get cool, foil pressed printing!
On the website there is a pretty cool offer right now too – but you’ll have to hurry! Offer expires November 10th. And today is like, the 7th! The coupon code is CHEER25FS and it’s good for $25 off your order of Christmas cards and free ground shipping! That’s a pretty good deal!
So if you are like me and seem to be struggling to get your Christmas cards sent out, give ‘Minted‘ a try! I received a card last year from a friend who had used ‘Minted‘ and I was impressed with the quality.
And did you know that ‘Minted‘ has more than cards? There is some great Holiday Home Decor on their site along with some other wonderful finds.
Isn’t this silver, foil-pressed table confetti great?! What fun to add some pizzazz like this to your holiday dinner table!
And these vintage Metallic Glass ornaments! LOVE!
Minted also has an Art Marketplace, Party Decor, Gifts and so much more! Spend some time browsing their site – you just might find fun Christmas gifts for people on your shopping list this year!

‘Minted’ is compensating me for this post with a product credit. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own!
Jill,
The more I read your posts, the more I like you!! My kind of girl. I was so much worse about it than you! Ha….I love this idea…I may make it this year and send something! Thanks again for sharing!!! PS…have fun this week!
Have to admit last couple years holidays have come and gone with no cards send out. I did better than that the year I had my knee replaced on Dec. 14th. Delayed surgery one week so I could get ornaments, cards done before the surgery. Had hubs mail them while I was in surgery.
It seems to be getting harder to get cards done at all. But since you’re being such a good girl I will try also. We get lot of free cards from different organizations hubs used to donate too before his stroke. Why they still send things have no idea but they still do. But I still have all those great cards so no excuse not to get them done this year. Going to try not to do so much making things and take it little easier. (Yeah it says here in small print, lol). All the things you told us about look great for that company. wish I could buy from them.
Have great weekend, enjoy your family
