I was privileged to be the photographer at a friends wedding this summer! And I’m finally sharing some pics. Wedding photography is fun, creative, fast-paced, amazing and stimulating. It can also be stressful, sweaty, and hard work. But the first list of adjectives trumps the second in my book. (that might change if I totally messed up though :D) When shooting a wedding you have to think fast, move fast, and a lot of it is a one time chance. If you miss the shot during the processional or ceremony you can’t back up and redo the shot. But to me, that’s part of the fun. I’m not sure I really want to get into being the main, or only, photographer for a lot of weddings but I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the wedding photography I have done.
For this wedding I was the only photographer. It was a small wedding – very relaxed and fun and intimate. I loved being their photographer – this family is so amazing and sweet and lovely.
The Ivy League in Greenville, Ohio did all the flowers. The bride works there so they were the obvious choice. I love their flowers and style.
The wedding was held at Hayner Cultural Center in Troy Ohio.
A neighbor of the groom had a cool old car that he delivered the groom to the wedding in and then he and his wife chauffeured the bride and groom in it when the wedding was over.
I love the brides simple yet beautiful dress.
Darling little boys – so sweet.
The brides mother walked her up the aisle.
The chauffeurs! They cracked me up. They were totally enjoying their role. So fun!
Beautiful wedding. Beautiful day. The weather was hot but it didn’t rain! In Ohio you can almost count on it raining if you have an outside event planned.
If you have a small wedding coming up and need a photographer – give me a call! I love shooting small, relaxed weddings 🙂
just as with everything else you do, great and professionally done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so very much Brenda! Your comments and support mean the world to me!
What a joy to see the happiness and love through your amazing photography! Girl, you are blessed with many gifts and you are humble about them all. I love seeing marriage so honored. I celebrate my 39th year with my wonderful husband this month. Thanks for sharing so graciously as you always do.
Thanks Carla! And congratulations on 39 years – that is so awesome!
Beautiful! Such fun photos and such a pretty wedding. I love the chalkboards and sayings they used.
Thank you! It was so fun and I loved all her fun details.
Beautiful wedding and love your photos!!!
Thanks Anita!
Beautiful job! Very professional pictures. I am sure the bride and groom feel very blessed to have had you as their professional photographer!!
Thank you so much Cathy! I had a lot of fun!
I certainly will concur with other commenters about your many talents. All the photos were very nicely done and so professional looking.
Bless their love and lives, hope they have many good years together. Her dress was so pretty, love the style and color, she can wear that dress many more times in her life. I noticed her bouquet had a satin like sleeve on stems, looks very pretty on her flowers.
When Lowell and I got married we had no flowers, no reception but we have made it 46 yrs. as of this coming Nov. 30th. WE got married in Tucson. We had no honey moon either til Lowell got back from Nam. My Mom watched the kids night of our wedding then we picked them up next day. We went up to Phoenix after few months of Lowell getting back. Lowell had to leave for Nam on Dec. 26th. after we got married on Nov. 30th. Our first date was Oct. 18th. same year for all of it.
How about you, how long did you know your hubby before you got married? Hope longer than us, lol
Did you have a big wedding?
Have great weekend dear friend. Happy days
Thanks so much JaneEllen!
I knew my hubby for 28 days before he proposed! We were married 7 1/2 months later!
Fabulous photographs!!! Such special memories in the pictures at a wedding. You also got some great shots of “this can translate to a quilt” windows!! Your pictures make me wish someone in my family was going to have a small wedding soon!!
Thanks Susan! Aren’t those windows great?! I loved all the great photo ops this place offered!
