I wasn’t going to do the fall flea this year in Springfield. But just a couple of weeks before a friend asked me if I would share her space there in The Vintage Marketplace. At first I said probably not. My husband was going to be out-of-town and I had our annual fall kids clothing sale the week following the flea.
But then I thought about it a couple of days and decided it might be a good opportunity to clear out a few things I had left over from other events and that I had enough stuff I could manage without making anything new or redoing any new furniture. And since my friend has a truck and trailer to use and she offered to haul I wouldn’t have to figure all that out on my own without my hubby around. So I said yes.
It ended up being a gorgeous weekend! First event I’ve done that it did NOT rain at all! Woo-Hoo! I cleared out some things, also sold a few things from my store that we were trying to clear out, and cleared some cash – win win 😀
Isn’t the ‘hello’ on the old door so cute? My friend, Anne, did that piece. It sold, and so did the ‘gather’ sign. I can do custom orders for the metal ‘gather’ signs and can paint them any color.
The white chair sold but the map table and the coral end tables are available at Smith Merchants in Arcanum Ohio.
The weather was gorgeous but it did get super windy on Sunday. There were constant crashes as something blew over. Thankfully we hadn’t really packed anything breakable so we didn’t lose anything.
Anne did some really cool succulent plantings. They sold like hotcakes!
The metal drawers with the succulents was my favorite. It sold! She had very few left that went home with her.
So that’s my recap of the flea. If you’ve never been to the Springfield Flea in Springfield Ohio you should add it to your to-do list 😀
I saw a lot of nice things for sale there. Glad that you were able to join in the market and sell some things. I love going to outdoor markets like that. This is the best time of year for that too.
It was a great event Kelly, and so much fun! It was beautiful weather and that always makes it so much better!
Your events always look so pretty and fun to set up, even though I know it does take work.
I’m intrigued by the Fusion paint {of course! anything that is easy as possible and still a great product!} and SO excited for you and your paint ventures.
Thanks! Fusion is so amazing! If you hadn’t painted your cabinets yet this is what I’d be recommending! I’m going to be using it on the rest of my kitchen cabinets!
HI Jill! How much is your Gather sign and what is it made from?
