Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband! 17 years today. It seems like yesterday and yet is seems like we’ve been together forever. I can’t imagine my life without him and I love him so very much! I praise God for bringing us together and keeping us together.
This guy works on house projects (usually cheerfully)
He puts up with all my projects and even takes them to the next level and makes them even better.
He can do most anything he decides to do and does it well. He mops floors, he cooks, he helps me clean, he can do laundry, he gets all the groceries. He works hard every day to bring home a paycheck to support his family of females. And he usually deals pretty well with the drama that accompanies living with 4 females!
He even cooperated with my ‘Hey Girl’ post from over a year ago when a bunch of bloggers were doing this. He’s a good sport about my creative spirit that is always changing things around in the house and my roping him into helping with business stuff. He keeps me from being too ‘oh it will all work out’ when it comes to business things and the accounting end that I like to ignore exists.
Of course, life isn’t always all roses – there are weeds aplenty in our garden of life. But with God by our side and our deep belief in the commitment we made to each other we have pulled the weeds and weathered the storms. And we have faith that God will always walk with us and guide us together as long as we both live.
Here’s to marriage – and love – and commitment.
Have a blessed weekend.
Happy anniversary to you and your husband. It’s wonderful how you and your husband are so creative and involved with each other’s hobbies. I love reading your happy blog.
Thanks Denice – God has blessed us 🙂
Toasting you both, to marriage, love and commitment!
Thank you so much Laura!
Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!
It takes a good man to live with four girls (says the girl who lives with four boys).:)
Thank you Kellie! And you are a SAINT to live with four men! 🙂
AMEN!!! Congratulations. Love the comment about the weeds. But working together as a family and working AT being a family is the key. May your home be forever blessed! From this old married lady of 46 years.
Thanks so much Paula! And Congratulations on 46 years to you!
Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your anniversary. When God is a part of your marriage it makes it so much stronger and better. He’s kept ours together for 50 years and we give Him all the glory.
Thank you Nancy! We had a wonderful day together. My hubby did some work on our new garden shed in the morning and then he and I went shopping and out for dinner!
Happy Anniversary to you both! May God richly bless your lives together for another 70+ years!
Thank you Susan! We hope to have many many years together!
Happy Anniversary, Jill! I wish you many more years together. When the Lord chooses our mates the marriage usually works out. My husband & I both prayed for Christian mates when we were teenagers & He brought us together at age 16. We married at 19 & celebrated our 46th anniversary June 22. We love each other more than ever & also are best friends. We have two adult sons & one adult daughter & several grandchildren (Oh & one great-granddaughter:) The Lord has blessed us over the years & continues to do so. Our relationship has never wavered but there have been & continues to be some heart aches we have to deal with daily but God has given us grace to deal with them. We even share the same chronic disease. God is truly good.
Thanks so much Tricia! Blessings to you and your family!
lovely lovely. How nice to hear such positive feedback while weeds are acknowledged. love the truthfulness of this. Blessings from God on your family
Thank you Brenda, we are very blessed!
Happy Anniversary! Woo-hoo to 17 years!
Ups, downs, joys, sorrows, commitment, laughter, just doing life together. Marriage doesn’t just happen and every marriage has it’s “weeds”. Praise God for good men willing to do the hard work in everything from marriage to remodeling to mopping! 🙂
Amen to that! I loved the very end scene in ‘Mom’s Night Out’ where the dad was mopping! loved it so much since my hubby does the mopping!
Happy anniversary to you both! 17 years is just the beginning! Blessings… Cheryl Ann
Thanks so much Cheryl Ann!
Happy Anniversary!
Thank you Anita!
Amen!! Well said. Happy Anniversary. Hope you do something fun to celebrate!
Thank you Cathy! We had a fun day. We went to Trader Joe’s and IKEA and picked up some things we needed for the girls and our home!
Amen to that last sentence! Happy Anniversary!! I do believe that those that make a true life time commitment are the ones that will succeed together. There’s no quitting once you’re married! Sounds like you have a great husband and will hopefully celebrate many more anniversaries together in the future.
Thanks Kelly! It’s so hard to see so many marriages not making it – seems it gets closer and closer to home all the time. Family members and friends deciding they can’t make it work and letting go of their committments. I pray every day that we can stay committed!
Cheers to you both! Hope you enjoyed and enjoy many more years to come. XO
Thank you so much Debbie! We are so blessed and so thankful God brought us together!
