This is one of my favorite songs from years ago. I thought of it today as I edited these pics to put on my blog to accompany my Sunday post that I was determined I would write. But somehow all my thoughts that I had about what I wanted to write have fled far away. So I’m sharing this song with you and praying it blesses you in some way.
The Rose
Spring is coming soon! 21 Days now till April. Snow piles are shrinking and the ground is turning muddy as it thaws from it’s deep freeze. Birds are appearing from the southern regions and new life is making itself manifest in the form of expected baby kitties and little hints of green shoots that are brave enough to raise their heads and peek at the world. That seed hiding deep under the snow will soon be a rose.
And there is always, always, always Someone who loves you. You don’t have to be lucky, you don’t have to be strong, you don’t have to be the best – He loves you regardless! His name is Jesus. His hand is stretched out still – accept His love today!
Have a blessed Sunday!
Amen! There IS always someone that loves you-even when you feel totally unlovable. That song is one of my favorites. I used to teach confirmation classes and often worked this song into one of the last sessions….about the light after the dark-xo Diana
That’s pretty cool Diana – great song to use that way!
Lovely post. Thanks for sharing.
Have a wonderful week Pam!
Oh, Jill!
I never before listened to this with ears tuned to God. How beautiful when you see His love in this song. Thank you for this. I have always loved this song, but considered it secular.
It’s a beautiful song isn’t it Regena? I have heard it sung at a few weddings and I’ve loved it since I was a young teenager.
Amen sister!
That’s one of my favorite songs too – and a perfect one to be stuck in my head today 🙂
Gorgeous roses btw!
Oh and last year – just when it was all over – we were hit with another blizzard in these here parts,
just saying ( not trying to rain on your parade LOL )
XOXO
Thanks Suzan! And it is supposed to snow this week – I’m ignoring that fiercely! And if it does indeed snow I’m going to close the shutters in my living room and watch ‘Once Upon A Time’ on netflix with my teenager!
