On our vacation I managed to get a bit of shopping in. There was a goodwill close to our hotel, a Greatland Taget, and antique mall we wandered through while waiting on time for me to go to my paint class, and near the end or out trip we went to Milwaukee to the Harley Davidson Museum and I also managed a quick trip to an amazing antiques shop that Laura had recommended I go to. Today I’ll share the things I bought. I have pics of the shop and of the Harley museum but they aren’t edited and I’m being lazy. Since these were already edited this is what you get 😀
All three of the textiles above were from the antiques mall we wandered through. There were so many things I would have loved to bring home with me but I had to limit myself the the small things that I could tuck under my seat or in my purse as we didn’t have a lot of extra room.
Goodwill – $.99 cents.
Vintage bingo game, also from goodwill – $1.99
Also from Goodwill – child sized and so adorable! Can’t wait to add these to some Christmas decor. $1.99
Cool old hangers from the Antiques store in Milwaukee. These are different from any I had.
Travis found a vintage camera flash he thought I had to get for the vintage camera I bought at the Country Living Fair
It is a rather fun addition to the camera.
Vintage paper stuff sucks me in and insists I take it home with me.
These vintage letters were begging to come home with me and they practically hopped in my bag of their own accord they wanted a new home so bad! I have a spot in mind that will make them very happy!
I also went to another great shop on the last day of our trip but it’s a story all its own – I promise to share very soon!
Have a wonderful weekend if I don’t get back here again and God bless,
Cute stuff! I used to wear a pair of ice skates exactly like those when I was little. I think they were Wendy’s first so I imagine she will inherit them! (One of the bummer’s of being a 3rd child)!
Some great finds! I look at area Goodwill stores all the time and never seem to find anything like this stuff – lucky you!
Love the vintage letters Jill!
You got some really good finds, Jill. I have several of those old hangers- I have never seen them anywhere except Wisconsin. lol Hope you have a great day- xo Diana
Oh my heaven. Your treasures are all so lovely. I’m smitten with them all.
You really hit the jackpot girl, I’m so envious. Can’t believe the treasures you found, awesome totally. I’ve been wanting to find a pair of ice skates to use for our holiday decorations forever. Also want to find an old sled.
I can remember sledding when we lived in Cleveland, went sledding with my brother a few places that were alot of fun but dangerous. We used to go sledding or sliding I should say when we lived in East county of San Diego. The mountains were just a few miles away so we’d go up there, have such a good time. Went antiquing, sliding and eating. I sure miss that with our friends. Think we did more to have fun when we got older than younger. Course we had 4 kids to take care of but we did have lots of fun at the beach with the kids.
I’ve never seen burlap with threads running thru it. Looks pretty cool. Have a great weekend and Happy Thanksgiving. I’ve been working on making signs for holidays. If I don’t sell them they’ll be great gifts.
Looks like lots of fun finds!! I love the camera and flash! Very cute. And the ice skates are adorable too, especially with the touch of red.
Fun finds, Jill! I especially love the textiles and the adorable skates~and what a deal!
