Can you believe it is October?! Where has this year flown to? My hubby has our first pile of fallen leaves out for pick-up already!
I haven’t done a lot of fall decorating yet – I’ve had a few busy weeks recently 😀 I do have some fun pumpkins now and hope to do a tablescape soon. I created a couple of fall bouquets out of some dried stuff I bought at the Springfield flea and some of my own Hydrangea and some pussy willows I had from Spring.
I had this cute potted plant left over from our booth in The Vintage Marketplace and I wanted it inside. But inside plants in clay pots are a pain to keep watered without making a mess.
So I took a pot that was a bit bigger and stuffed a thick layer of paper towels in the bottom.
And placed the potted plant inside the bigger pot.
Then I set it inside this cool vintage metal lampshade.
I guess it is a lampshade – not really sure.
A friend had these at the flea and I sold several of them for her in our booth. And I kept a few! I like the idea of turning them into a string of outdoor lights someday.
I also like the way the clay pot fits inside and it adds a bit of an industrial touch to my living room.
I added my rusty diamond tiara for a bit of bling.
A bit of bling never hurt anything did it?!
And then I tucked it in here with one of my fall bouquets. The other bouquet is on the front porch and I’ll be getting some pics of that soon.
I love the mix of colors of the dried Hydrangea. I still can’t believe we are into fall already – I really wasn’t ready to give up summer.
I tucked a glittered crown pick into the arrangement – another bit of bling. I love glass glittered stuff 😀
Are you ready for fall? Since it’s already here and in full swing?! Is your house looking like fall? What is your favorite thing about the Autumn season?
Great vignette. Dried hydrangeas are one of my faves for Fall.
Great idea, Jill. A pot in a pot..and would one of them be a crack(ed) pot? lol I think Fall is looking pretty fine at your house. LOVE your hydrangeas. They are just beautiful.
And, Yep- I am pretty sure that is a lampshade! xo Diana
I love the warmth and texture! Perfect for fall!
I LOVE the diamond tiara. What a sweet addition to your lovely and simple autumn decor.
