It’s a Pixel Party! A year ago a friend and I hosted a photo party. This year my friend hosted another party but called it a ‘Pixel Party’, just because it’s a cute name. And this year she had the one of the ladies who came last year actually TEACH the rest of us! It was great, learning some new tricks, brushing up on some stuff we already knew, helping our friends figure out the buttons, bells, and whistles on their cameras!
Our teacher had a great example set up using plastic cups and water. She showed us how you could take a perfectly exposed photo and get the same results by adding and subtracting the ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture. Good stuff!
Our teacher – great job Glenna, thank you SO much!
No party is ever complete without some great food. Chicken salad with homemade butterhorn rolls and crackers. Yum.
Fruit Pizza. Yum Yum.
And the decor was so cute I just couldn’t quit taking pics.
I provided drinks this year. I wish I could say this oh-so-cute vintage cooler is mine but alas, it’s not. Isn’t it the best thing to serve drinks from?!
There was even a drawing to enter! You could win a photo shoot by Belle, and a camera strap made by me 🙂
Where there are lots of cameras there will be some practice shooting going on! This bottle was being photographed from all sides and angles I think.
It was a wonderful day with friends, sharing and learning more about our DSLR cameras. If you want to learn more about your camera I highly recommend this method 🙂

Thanks Pam – it was a fun day!
How FUN!!! Love the vintage cameras & the cooler- what cute details.
Thanks Gina – isn’t that old cooler great?! I hope I find one to buy someday!
This looks like so much fun!! I love the sunflowers and the yellow cups. The fruit pizza looks scrumptious!
Wish I lived closer!!!
I wish we lived closer at least once a week!
Sure wish I could have taken that class! It looks fun and informative!
It is so fun to learn with friends, sharing tips and trading things we have learned!
What a great idea! I love all the decor and your photos are fabulous!
Thanks Angela, it was a very fun party!
I remember this party from last year. Seems hard to top that one but this one is even more impressive. What a lovely afternoon you must have all had. I wish I had friends like yours 🙂
Thanks Amy! It is a fun, relaxed way to learn more about your camera and get some hands-on help from people you are comfortable with!
