Middle Sister (Larke) turns 10 tomorrow. Her birthday party is tonight. She is so excited. Of all my girls I think she gets the most excited about having a party. Taking the time to make it special for her means so much – I think her love language right now is ‘time spent’. She couldn’t care less that the house is less than sparkling clean. She just wants me to spend time on the little details that make the party special to her. She also loves gifts.
Her party is an owl them – sort of. I didn’t go all out with a lot of owls. Stamps for the name tags, napkins and cupcake picks.
I spent $ on buying the cupcakes, the stamps, the fun little party favors, and the napkins. Everything else I just gathered from around the house.
The boxes we put the party favors in I already had – a purchase from ‘Pick Your Plum’.
A friend found a cool vintage typewriter a few weeks ago and bought it for me. I’m using it in the decor tonight.
Straws from ‘Pick Your Plum’ are wonderful to have around for parties!
Decor also includes an old bike, a fun cupcake stand I’m borrowing from a friend, Hydrangea, and a cute owl backpack!! I’ll share pics of the party tomorrow!
Don’t forget to go over and enter the awesome giveaway going on now! And take some time to browse through all the stuff being given away and visit the bloggers who are donating!

Happy Birthday to your sweet Larke! Can’t wait to see all the fun details tomorrow! 🙂
Thanks pam!
The fun is always in the details, and I love what you have done. 10 is a special age and birthdays are great, but I almost wish they would stop at 10.
Thanks Tara!
Happy birthday to your sweet little girl. Double digits. I hope the party is a huge success.
The party was great Amy! Not as cute as the ones you throw but my daughter was thrilled with it!
How fun, your Larke sounds delightful. Such a fun age, still little girl but getting bigger. Hope her party was wonderful for her. Happy Birthday Larke, beautiful name.
She’s quite the little gal! She drives her teenage sister nuts – nevermind that the teenager used to act just like her!
