I started my week with a post about Mondays. And most of my Mondays I find I get more accomplished than some other days of the week. Because I don’t usually have anywhere to go or appointments to keep. So I get things done here. Not so much this week. I sort of felt like it was time for a bit of catching up on relaxing-on-the-couch. So I did a lot of that. And did some laundry here and there too. I read a book. I almost never take time to read beyond my morning quiet time.
Tuesday my Middle Girl and I had our last piano lessons till Fall. Then I had to take my Middle Girl to an orthodontist appointment. In the evening we had our Small Group Bible Study, which I had not been to for weeks. I cannot believe how busy our Tuesdays have been ๐
Wednesday morning I helped a friend out by setting up some stuff I had donated to her garage sale. They are adopting and are having a benefit garage sale to help with the expense of bringing their son home. I donated a few things and she asked if I would help her out by displaying them – I was happy to do that. In the afternoon I worked on a shower curtain project for a client. I just need to make the buttonholes to hang it by. I am hoping to hang it in my own bathroom to get some pics of it. It is the cutest thing!
Thursday I was up early and ready to head to the garage sale to do some shopping. I couldn’t find my keys. I extremely dislike it when my keys are misplaced. I finally called my hubby to see if he had used them when he worked on the car on Wednesday night. He had. And he left them in the car. With the key turned on enough to run the battery down ๐ I was so sad. And a bit mad. But not for long. My poor hubby has been so overly busy and stressed. So I called a friend and she was going and she gladly picked me up and took me along. And I got the things I wanted even without being at the sale as early as I had planned. I even found a cool old industrial toolbox – my hubby claimed it as his so I guess I won’t do anything extraordinary with it ๐
And today is Friday. Time for another weekend already. Today we head out-of-town for a wedding – the one I made 5 bridesmaid dresses for. I’m borrowing a big camera lens to do some photos of it all!
Independence day is next week! Do you have big plans? Do you celebrate our Nations freedom?
Have a wonderful weekend – come back for a look at the bridesmaid dresses and wedding details next week!
