A quick online search didn’t turn up anything of any real import that occurred on May 29, 1974.  It’s just another day in history. Today it’s just another day of the week, another day in the month of May, another day in the year 2013.

But in 1974, May 29th marked a special day in the lives of a couple of people – my Mom and Dad.  Their firstborn was born – a daughter whom they named Jill Elaine. (that would be me :D)  She had blue eyes, lots of dark hair, weighed six pounds and was 19.5 inches long.  Today she has green eyes, hair that is still dark due to monthly help from the hair dresser, weighs a bit more than six pounds and is 5 feet 3 inches tall. If you did the math, it’s been 39 years since May 29th, 1974.  On one hand that has been a long time.  A lot of living has been done in 39 years.  Childhood, school, work, marriage, 3 girls, starting a business.  And that is just a very quick gloss-over!

On the other hand it’s been but a blink of the eye.  One day a teenager, the next the Mom of a teenager, a preteen and 7.5 year old.  God has blessed me richly, and I am so thankful.  Praise Him for His wonderful works to the children of men!

Have a wonderful day 🙂  If you would like to enter a giveaway for a fun tote bag I made go here.  And while you are there browse a bit – Tricia has a great blog and amazing style!

Happy Birthday! Time seems to go so fast. Enjoy every moment with your family. I also love the fabric in the tote bag and the other items you made that are of the same fabric. Blessings,

Happy Birthday! At least my daughter and son got to celebrate with you, even though I couldn’t be there. All the kids and the cake presentation sounded pretty cute.

Cannot believe you are 39. Seriously?!! Our teenagers will soon be NOT teenagers anymore. Slow down, time!!!!!!!!!!!
