You will have to pardon me, I just have to share. If you don’t like mushy stuff then click over to somewhere else quickly. This may be too much for you to handle.
Remember the ‘Hey Girl’ post? It went up right before Valentine’s Day. My hubby was cooperative if not thrilled.
Valentine’s morning my husband left early for work He climbed the stairs before leaving and kissed me with a whispered ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ and ‘Good-bye’. Then he was off before the sun was up.
About an hour later I crawled out of my warm cocoon of fleece sheets, blanket, and down comforter, and headed sleepily downstairs.
The girls followed soon after and one of them discovered what I had failed to notice in the dim morning light – boxes of candy for each of us. Mine included a card.
A very sweet and mushy card. You + Me =
perfect. Sigh. How romantic is that? But just look at what comes next! If you can handle it. 😀 This is the best part.
Awwwwwwww. Really. How sweet is that?
And coffee to eat. Can’t get any better than that. Even without the chocolates this was the best Valentine’s ever. Seriously. To have him write that in my card was just awesome. That he actually picked up and used the ‘Hey Girl’ saying is just priceless. I know my blog friends will understand 😉
Did you get a mushy card for Valentine’s?
Awwww…So incredibly sweet!!! 🙂
🙂 Thanks Cindy!
This is just so, so great! Perfect. 🙂
I like the boxes of chocolates for the girls. They “fit” them.
I agree 🙂 I love it that he remembered to get the girls something.
Love that he bought chocolates for the girls. My dad has brought me roses several times in recent years. My husband doesn’t do mushy, lol. So…did you go out? 🙂
🙂 my hubby doesn’t get overly mushy very often but I love it when he does! We went out on Saturday night following Valentine’s – some thrifting, Panera Bread, and Culver’s for dessert 🙂
Precious husband and precious memories. Love your “Hey Girl” posts.
Thank you Nancy 🙂
The sweetest!! I do get mushy cards, too ~ gotta love our romantic guys!
Amen Pam, I totally agree!
How sweet. Love mushy between husband and wife.
Me too Regena! I love that he signed my card ‘Hey Girl’ 🙂
Aw that is super sweet! Mom and I both drooled when we saw the candy 🙂
He is a sweetheart! I love that he took the time to get a card and sign it like that! and speaking of the chocolate – I stuck it in the cupboard a couple days ago and I’m sure there was some left – I need to go get a piece!
Nope-No cards here this year- too much going on- but I am smiling at yours! You have a “keeper” there- xo Diana
He definitely is Diana – and I plan on keepin’ him 🙂
Love this! 🙂
Thanks Melissa, it’s fun when our hubby’s spoil us isn’t it?!
Oh my goodness. I adore your husband even more now. I love that he left you a ‘hey girl’ valentine with an invitation to dinner. Lucky girl!
He’s great! We went out for dinner and some thrifting on Saturday night following Valentines :}
These are the things that matter. Simple sweet little gifts of love. How cute! Very thoughtful husband you have!
🙂 Thanks Karen – he’s the best!
You are a lucky girl. I’m so glad you shared this…it really was incredibly sweet. My husband always buys funny cards…this year was no different. The thrilling part was that he added a gift card from Amazon.com. I got a new camera lens and I am doing my happy dance!
Oh YAY for you Ann! I have some Christmas money I have been hoarding for a new lens. Trying to wait till I have the rest of the cash instead of just going ahead and buying it like I always want to do! soon I hope!
Thanks for sharing this. Coffee chocolates…and a “Hey Girl”…what’s not to love about that, right?

Hi Jill, i’ve been sick and I’m catching up on your blog. I hope you guys had a wonderful, cozy date night!
