  1. day somebody is born: the day on which somebody is born
  2. anniversary of day of birth: the day in each year that is the anniversary of the day somebody was born

14 years ago, Miss Emma Kate entered the world and made us a family instead of just a couple.  She missed Valentine’s by about 2 and 1/2 hours, which was just fine with me.  Not because I was so enamored with being in labor but because my Mother’s birthday is the 15th.  And really, after spending over 24 hours in labor what’s a couple more? HA. But I was so happy to be able to call my Mom and ask her if she wanted to come see her birthday present 🙂

I won’t bore you with my whole labor story – the end result is the best anyway 🙂

We did a quick photo shoot a couple days ago.  It was cold so I couldn’t handle being out for very long!

And if you want to compare these to last years you can go here.

Jill, what a doll your daughter is! I went back to check out her last year’s shot and wow, has she grown up and matured so much in one year. She’s become quite the young lady. I tell ya, I lament the quick passage of time right along with you. Just reminds us how much the moments matter. Happy birthday, Emma!

Happy Birthday to your daughter and mother, how very special that they share the same day. My son and mother-in-law do as well. Your daughter is beautiful and looks so much like you. 🙂
