Ruffles are so much fun. They dress up t-shirts. They take a simple skirt to the next level. They add a special touch to a plain sweater. In the past few years ruffles have been showing up on all kinds of apparel. And I love it. One of my very favorite finds ever is ruffled fabric. That delightfully fluffy fabric that is row after row of ruffles – already ruffled and ready to use. The most popular thing I’ve made has been the ruffled leggings that I have available in my etsy shop. One of the fabrics is called S’mores because it is brown and cream. Isn’t that a fun name for it!
A few months ago Jamie from Freckled Laundry emailed me about wanting some leggings for her daughter. …and a scarf for me… she added with a smiley. I hadn’t thought of making a scarf out of the fabric but I though the idea a great one so I made a scarf for her. And one for me.
And then I sold the scarf I made for me. So I made a few more.
The scarves were a big hit at my sale I hosted in my home in December. I sold all but one, and that one got tucked into my grab bag gift that I took to Kansas with me for a little Christmas celebration with friends. My cousin ended up with it and she loved it a lot!
I sold all the brown and cream scarves that I had available at my sale.
I had an order for another S’mores scarf so I ordered more fabric while I was in Kansas. It was waiting on me when I arrived home.
Today I made some S’mores scarves. One for my friend who ordered one and a couple to put in my shop. I also have grey and white and black and white available. Other colors can be ordered so let me know if you have a request! They are wonderfully comfortable to wear – not too bulky and long enough to loop twice if you want to but not too long to just do a simple tie in the front. They measure 4 inches wide by about 70 inches long. I really must make one for myself that I actually keep instead of selling! That is a really cute scarf, Jill. I can see why they sell right away. Love it- xo Diana

Thank you Stephanie!
LOVE your clever name, I’m definitely a ruffle girl ~ very cute, Jill!
Thanks Pam!
I was curious to see what a “S’mores Scarf” was when I saw your title. What a fitting name! I love it and it would be so versatile to wear with lots of different outfits. And leggings from that fabric? Too cute!
It is a great scarf Jennifer – I really must make one for myself 🙂 And the leggings are just darling. I made a couple pair out of this fabric for a couple friends before Christmas and they were so fun!
Seriously, you need to enjoy the work of your hands by keeping one for yourself. These are darling, especially because the ruffle is sort of ruffle-light. Gentle ruffles. I like that.

Thank you Liz! I love this fabric!
I love this! That’s a whole lotta ruffles too. My opinion on ruffles is that you can never, ever have too many. Happy Weekend Jill!
