Chalk board Art for Christmas
Blogging has taken a back seat this week due to my Grandma leaving us for heaven. Funeral is Saturday, delayed due to family traveling from other states and the schedule at the funeral home. I thought I would share my Chalk Board Art with you since it wouldn’t take lots of editing time – only a couple of pics!
I searched Pinterest. I created a new board just for Chalk Board Art. You can view my pinterest board here. I pinned about 21 pics of cool chalk board art. The original of this was sold but more of the C.J. Hughes art can be found here.
I decided to give this one a try. I started with the ‘world’, used a large bowl to make a perfect circle and went from there.
It’s not perfect, doesn’t look exactly like the one I used as my inspiration but I’m happy with it. I won’t even tell you all the little things that are wrong with it and maybe you won’t notice 😉
Hope you are all enjoying getting your homes decked out for Christmas, making some Christmas cookies, taking time to sip something yummy and warm, and most of all – remembering the true Meaning of the season!
Jill
I can’t notice a single thing wrong with it, Jill. It looks perfect to me and you did a wonderful job! I hope this weekend is not too hard on you- I’m sure it will be a long sad day- xo Diana
Again, I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I know that she is smiling down on you… praying for comfort for you all in the coming weeks.

Jill, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! On a lighter note, your chalkboard turned out great! I’m impressed…I’m afraid of what mine would look like if I tried that-ha! 🙂

Jill this is AMAZING! Seriously – Spectacular!! Congratulations on executing it so well! I’m so very sorry about your Grandmother – I lost mine a few years ago on Christmas Day – bittersweet for sure, I was thrilled she was now home with Jesus but I miss her a lot (even still). You and your family are in my prayers. Hugs ~ Jennifer
Thank you Jennifer! I had fun with the chalkboard art! and thanks for your kind words about my Grandma. She will be missed but oh how happy she must be in heaven right now!
Sweet grandmas… I miss mine! Yours was next door & grandma Irene so far away. One of the main reasons we moved to Ohio, so our kids could be close to their grandmas. So sorry for you all 🙁 thinking of your family.
Thank you Kara. Yes, Grandma’s are so special. I will miss her I know. But so happy for her that she is in heaven with Jesus!
I’m so sorry to hear about your grandmother’s passing. Especially at this time of year! We all have a special place in our hearts for our grandmother’s. Mine are all gone now and I really miss them. I love your chalkboard art! I think it looks so professionally done. Definitely not amateurish!
Thank you Kelly! You are so sweet.
I love your chalkboard, I think it looks perfect. I am praying for you and your family.
Hugs,
Jaime
Thank you Jaime! I have the best blog friends ever! It’s been so awesome to hop on here and read the sweet comments from my friends.
That turned out beautiful. Where you see flaws, I see perfection. I am sure this will wind up in many people’s pinterest boards as their version of perfection they hope to achieve.
Continued thoughts and prayers headed your way from me and my family.
Thank you Amy! I had fun doing the chalkboard art. I was a little fearful of doing one – but I loved it! I think the chalkboard will stay there for awhile and I have quite a few more ideas pinned that I can try later!
This looks great, Jill. I thought the message was so fitting for this week. God so Loved us…sent His Son. Our grandmas knew this and accepted Jesus and now we know our grandmas are with Him! What a tremendous blessing to have godly grandparents. Blessings to you this week as you remember the special times you had with your grandma!
Thank you Rachel!
Chalkboards seem to be the rage right now which makes me think I ‘m going to have to try one though I’m not sure it would turn out as well as yours. Cherish your memories of your grandmother and be grateful for the time you had to share with her.
Thank you Lulu! We definitely have some great memories of our Grandma!
I love it Jill, I have a chalkboard, but my scribbling always looks dreadful LOL. I’m going to take a look at your board, maybe I’ll learn a thing or two. I’m so sorry for the loss of your Grandma.
Thank you Karen, for your sweet comments. As for the chalkboard art – pick a piece you like – print it out and try to copy it. And remember it won’t look exactly like the original but that’s ok!
Oh my goodness, i would’ve hired you to do my “chalkboard” holiday art if you lived in CA!! It’s gorgeous! I’m thinking you should do a blog post just on all your fun chalk art finds! 🙂 It would surely inspire me!
Melissa, I would be delighted to do a chalkboard art for you – hmmm… maybe if I line up enough I can justify the plain ticket out!!??!!
Hi Jill, I just wanted to say sorry for your troubles and no doubt she will be looking over you all this Christmas x
