Yesterday I posted about my new outfit and the photos showed my new necklace. And I told you that the necklace deserved its own post! So today I will tell you about my new necklace. My retail therapy for the season! My big splurge for the year!
This beauty came packaged up in a kraft brown box, tucked into this linen drawstring bag. The Teenager thought she needed the box for something so she took off with that. I am loving having the bag to store this necklace in. The heart and ‘with love’ stamped on it make the bag even more beautiful and special.
I have long admired Andrea Singarella’s jewelry. Every time she lists some of her handmade creations for sale I eye them wistfully – usually they are all sold out by the time I get to her site.
I knew that if I ever hoped to own a piece I would have to be on the ball and get there early and buy immediately.
So when I saw on fb that she was getting ready to upload some stuff I jumped on it. I debated for a few minutes between this one and another one and then just picked one and hit the ‘checkout’ button. The other one I had considered sold within minutes of my purchase of this one I think.
I just love the detail Andrea puts into her work. All the different pieces, the vintage bits, even a few pretties at the clasp.
I also love that it is long. So many of my necklaces are just almost too short. They want to hide inside my neckline!
Yes, this was a splurge. But it was worth it! Travis came home from work the day I purchased it and informed me that he had bought another new pair of shoes. I told him that was ok I had just bought a new necklace! He said ‘Must have been an expensive necklace.” I said, “Yes, it was!” And we left it at that! 🙂
I hope to do some thrift shopping this fall but this necklace will most likely be the extent o my ‘retail therapy’ for the rest of this year! If I feel the urge for more ‘therapy’ I will just get out my necklace and wear it – it makes me happy!
When I saw the necklace in the previous post, I thought it looked like Andrea’s!!!! 🙂 Hooray-so happy for you!
🙂 It was a really really big splurge but so worth it!
