There are still quite a few pictures sitting in my ‘newly downloaded’ folder of the French Flea at Horton’s. And I will get to them at some point this week. But tonight I am really really really tired. In fact, I may end up slumbering soundly on my keyboard if I don’t get this finished up quickly. I thought I’d show you a couple pillows I recently made. They will be used in a baby boy’s bedroom that also doubles as a guest room.
If I recall correctly the fabric is what was used on the crib bedding. Won’t these tie it all together in a fun way?!
The baby’s Nana, who just moved to Florida, brought me the stuff and asked me to make them since she wasn’t finding time amidst all the upheaval of moving. She told me I could detail them however I chose 🙂 My kind of project!
The huge, fun button I had in my stash and I used jute twine to sew it on.
The round pillow I simply added the brown fabric to the ends and made ties out of the printed fabric. My kids loved this and called it the ‘candy pillow’! And they all want one of their own.
The looked pretty good on my couch but I decided to let them go to their proper home! I’m nice like that.
So what do you think? Will they fit in ok in a baby boy’s room/guest room??
OK, I made it without falling asleep on my keyboard! I will be back tomorrow with more pics from the French Flea! Sweet Dreams!

Love the detailing you added and absolutely love that fabric!
Perfect addition – sweet, sophisticated and fun!
Love that fun fabric, Jill! Like how you sewed the button with the jute- cute added feature. 🙂
What beautiful pillows. One of a kind and truly lovely.
Super cute pillows! I got to help bebe boy’s mama sew his bedding- and yes it is out of the same fabric. The pillows are going to tie this room together soo cute!
Those are darling! I’ve always liked pillows with the shape of the “candy” pillow.
