The evening before Kara, Barb, I headed to Horton’s French Flea I got a text from Barb asking if a packed lunch sounded ok. She had the fixings and was willing to pack a picnic. I wouldn’t dream of turning down an offer like that! It wasn’t just any picnic – it was a picnic fit for a queen 🙂 Even the picnic basket was beautiful. As Kara said in her blog post – it was a pic-nique!
Isn’t the picnic basket just adorable? I need one of these. I’m sure if I had one I would take my family on picnics much more often, don’t you agree?
A lovely linen tablecloth and matching napkins make any picnic more special!
A peek inside the basket…
…revealed quart baskets with our lunches tucked neatly inside!
Cute jam jars – I have decided this brand of jam is a must. I MUST have those jars.
Yummy. I need a picnic right now!
Turkey and pesto on focaccia and delicious pasta salad. And grapes which I didn’t get in the photos. And Kara provided yummy chocolate chip cookies which I also didn’t photograph. I was too busy munching those cookies right down!
Baby Illsa. She was so good – she is destined to love the flea as much as we do!
Have you had any picnics this summer? What is your favorite picnic food?

Linking up!
This lunch looks so yummy! (I’m hungry now! :D)
So picturesque! (What kind of camera do you use?)
Love looking through all your pictures. 😀

Hi Stephanie! Thanks so much for your comment! My camera is a Nikon d5100 and I LOVE it! i purchased it earlier this year and it is the best purchase I’ve made in a long time 🙂 These pics on this post were edited in photoshop too. i just loaded photoshop elements on my computer yesterday and i am in love!
I’ve been looking (drooling is more like it) at the d5100 for a year now. I just need to get hubby on board to get one! 😀

So glad I’m not the only one who buys groceries just to get the container. I bought French Lemonade at DLM the other day just to use the bottles at my dad’s wedding reception. The sad thing is, my husband knew this before I even told him, lol. That picnic looks extra-special. My picnics usually consist of pb&j in a ziptop bag :o) I should make a special lunch and see if the boys notice.
ah. that looks so yummy! (:
& i can tell it was put together by aunt barbara! (:
we don’t do picnic’s here. it’s tooo hot out! lol
Beautiful! And yummy! Some people are so blessed with the talent of everything they pu together looking so lovely. I think you are bringing the baby up right! 🙂
I want to live in your world. What a lovely picnic.
Oh my goodness, a delicious menu and a beautiful presentation! Makes my plastic cooler look not so cool! 🙂 Love that sweet baby photo!
What a wonderful friend to make a lovely picnic like that. I love the basket – totally agree it sets the tone. I’m in love with mason jars like the little jam jars used for the pasta salad. I made a whole picnic using mason jars recently (http://gracie-senseandsimplicity.blogspot.ca/2012/07/a-mason-jar-picnic.html). I love a pretty picnic and yours looked gorgeous.
Thank you Grace! I will be over to check it out – after I get some sleep 🙂
This is beautiful! I love it! Found you through a linky party! So excited to be a new follower and see more of your work!
Thank you Chrissy! Happy to have you here!
So adorable!! Love the details especially the jars! What brand of jelly is that?
I can’t remember right off hand Jennifer, I will have to ask Kara or Barb. I know you can get it at Kroger!
The brand is http://www.bonnemaman.us/. The labels are beautifully designed too. Great to use for a vase also.
Jill.. sounds so nice to {sit} and have a picnic under a shady tree again (: Fun pics and of course love the one of Illsa!
Thanks Barb! I hadn’t had time to find out that brand yet!
Hey Jennifer that brand of jelly is bonnemaman! Barb left a comment with a link to the company 🙂
If the picnic was as good as it looks, I’m sure you had a great time! Thanks for sharing this week at One Creative Weekend! I hope to see you back tomorrow.
Thanks Heidi, it was delicious! And thanks so much for hosting the party every week, I know it is a lot of work and I truly appreciate your efforts!
