Today reminded me of our ‘Dinner in the Garden’. A storm blew in today just like it did the day of the party. We got some much-needed rain but this time we didn’t have the gale-force winds or the power outages. Praise God!
No dinner is complete without some sort of bread – in this case it was in the form of hamburger buns. Tucked neatly into a linen towel lined basket.
Cream colored napkins and old silver ~ makes me think I’ve stepped into a Jane Austin movie!
There were plenty of drinks…
…and appetizers for the guys to munch on while the main meal was arranged and photographed!
We were thankful it had cooled off but the water and slush still tasted wonderful!
Juicy cheeseburgers, roasted tomatoes, sweet potato fries, veggies and dip…
…watermelon…
Another view of the sweet potato fries.
Fruits of the field.
Bacon – for your burger!
The rest of the sandwich fixin’s 🙂
Our lovely hostess.
Enjoying the food and fellowship ~ and lots of laughter!
And cupcakes for dessert. Yum!
A lovely evening was had by all!
My goodness! What a beautiful party with wonderful looking food and a sweet, beautiful hostess. It looks like a wonderful day- xo Diana
What a wonderful evening with friends! Your hostess looks as beautiful as the entire setting, and that delicous meal, oh my!
I am not sure which part of the garden party I enjoyed more, yesterday’s post or today’s. What a beautiful party. The hostess thought of every detail. Thanks for letting us join in 🙂
