A couple weeks ago we enjoyed ‘Dinner in the Garden’ with friends. Some old friend, some new friends. Good food, fresh from the garden. Lovely weather, after a blustery gale blew through! An evening for adults only. Some of the kiddos weren’t exactly thrilled with the idea that they were not included. But birthdays are fast approaching and those will be all about kids!
Lovely table.
I just realized that I uploaded 33 pics of this dinner party. Oops! I think I have the makings of at least 2 posts here! I will refrain from posting them all here. One, it is after midnight. Two, although I like posts with lots of pics, 33 is just a tad over-the-top even for me. Three, it gives me another blog post for another day!
I will focus on the table and table details for this post. Food and people will come later this week!
Isn’t it so lovely to put a dining table, china, and silver in the outdoors? It just gives it a different feel than the dining room. I love dining rooms too, but summertime just begs you to haul it all outside!
Love this basket. Must find one of my own.
Can you have a ‘real’ garden party without fun paper straws?
The chandi hung above the table was such a great touch. The fact that host wired it to work made it even better.
Hydrangea. What more needs to be said??
This table with the mirror and more hydrangea was just darling. Very cute and fun.
Love this trellis. I want a couple of these too – must put on Hubby’s to-do list.
The house makes the most beautiful, perfect backdrop for it all.
Another lovely basket. This hostess uses this basket in so many fun ways!
And this is what we returned home to that night – candlelight to brush our teeth by. Romantic as this photo may look, I am not giving up my electric anytime soon! I am so thankful for the guys (and gals) who work for DP&L and get our electric back on as quickly as possible when blustery gales take it out.
You can see the hostess photos here!
Looks like lots of fun, looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos – hope there is one of you wearing your cute dress and re-purposed sweater!
That house is gorgeous and I love outdoor dining spaces like this!
Oh–I would so enjoy having dinner here! The house is lovely and the table setting is just perfect.
Beautiful of course!! Oh, to have the touch and the ambition! And the working chandi…definitely a detail that totally fits your host and hostess!
The candlelit picture is awesome!! I love my electricity though.
The whole dinner in a garden theme was executed flawlessly. I can’t wait to see more pictures. What a perfect night.
Love all the gorgeous details, what a treat to be a guest at her lovely dinner, I would have wanted to linger for quite some time!
Gorgeous! What a wonderful way to celebrate friendship! This is a Food Network worthy setting! Savor the memories!
