I like to think of it as a cascade of thoughts, photos, ideas, creativity, business, life.
Last week I posted various pictures of things that had been happening in my life. And I called the post ‘Kaleidoscope’. One of my blogging friends suggested I make it a regular post. And I liked the idea so here is this weeks ‘kaleidoscope’.
Kaleidoscope of blogs that inspire me:
Pam from Simple Details has all kinds of cool, fun DIY projects – on a budget! She is friendly and fun, and she has replied to every single comment I’ve left on her blog! I like that in a blogger 🙂 She quickly went from ‘newly-discovered-blogger’ to ‘blogging friend! It was Pam who suggested I make ‘Kaleidoscope a regular feature.
Jami from Freckled Laundry has one of my favorite blog designs. It’s grey, linen, simple, and elegant. What’s not to like! She loves old linens and she hosts ‘Share your Laundry’ link parties. You can drop off your laundry on her blog every Thursday night. She makes some really lovely ruffled linen bags, and some truly delightful clay tags. I’m thinking at some point ‘Sew a Fine Seam’ is going to need some of those tags!
Crystal at Money Saving Mom has changed my life. I was privileged to hear her speak at a convention recently and it was such a blessing. Not only in giving me a swift kick towards some serious budgeting but also in the business starting/running realm. I am so thankful for her book, which I bought and posted about here. And for her tips on making money through lots of different sources.
Deborah at A Delightful Glow is my sister and friend. IRL (in real life) and now a blogging friend too! She’s the best and she has a wonderful gift of writing. Her blog is lots of fun to read, and not just because she is my sister 🙂
Sachiko from Tea Rose Home is an amazing seamstress, makes some really really wonderful jewelry(which I fervently hope she someday makes to sell), shares some great tutorials and a monthly link party. I really enjoy her blog and highly recommend it!
Laura from Decor to Adore is one of the first bloggers I ever followed. I don’t remember at all how I found her but I bookmarked her site and it is among my favorites. Laura is another blogger I now count as a friend – she is an interior designer and I love to see the projects she takes on. She has a very sweet family too and her love for them comes through loud and clear on her blog! Right now she is doing a series on the Diamond Jubilee and it is so fun to read.
Kara from Kara Pasaly Designs has some of the most unique and fun design ideas I’ve seen. She often blogs about how she created an idea she had. She does some really amazing things on tight budgets. I’m so inspired by her and her husbands creations, and the home they are currently carving out for themselves.
So there you have this weeks ‘Kaleidoscope’. What do you think? Do you like the idea? Should it be a regular feature here?
Do you have ideas for future ‘Kaleidoscope’ features??
