The convention we went to a couple weeks ago (has it been that long already??) was held in the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati. Just a couple blocks away is Fountain Square. We walked there a couple times for meals. This time and the last time we were there they had art sculptures displayed around the fountain. As an artist of sorts myself I love to see what others create. Here are a few photos of the artwork on display this year.
Made out of some sort of plastic circles. I didn’t take time to take pictures of the description boards. Sorry.
This one was about my favorite. I like the title – ‘The Eruption! From Earth’s Destruction.’
Don’t trash our world! My appreciation for abstract art has definitely increased with age.
Flowering tree made out of metals.
They also had lots of pots of lovely spring flowers.
Back of the fountain.
Travis liked this guy made out of drink bottles.
See his toenails? This artist got the details in!
So tell me, do you like art? What type of artwork is your favorite? Are you an artist and create your own?
Aren’t those fun! My favorite is the first one. I’m really attracted to abstracts paired with traditional furnishings.
My favorite is the first one… and yes, I love art. It’s amazing to me because as humans being made in the image of God it’s inspiring to see Him in all the little aspects of people, creative, ingenious, etc! Thanks for sharing!
I like the metal flowering tree!
My son is a Gatorade fan, so I’m betting he would like the man!
