Along with my patriotic pillows and the succulent and cactus pillows, I also recently created these smaller sized patchwork Ohio pillows. I made a few large sized Ohio pillows for my last pop-up shop and everyone loved them. Requests came in for some of the smaller size so I made a few.
I shared my Patriotic pillows last week, so now it’s time to show you my succulent and cactus pillow designs! They were so fun to create, and are all available at local shops – Wright on High and Midwest Memories.
Scroll through the photos and leave me a comment – tell me which is your favorite.
I made a few patriotic pillows recently and they turned out really cute! I don’t have a pop-up shop event before the 4th of July so I delivered them all to local shops. If you see something here you would like and your aren’t local just send me an email and I’ll fix you up! [email protected]

I share the most on Instagram – it’s my favorite 🙂
When it comes to textiles, I pretty much love them all. They all have a purpose and a place in this life. The textures and softness textiles bring to any decor really brings the space to life.
I especially love when textiles are used in unexpected ways. Today I’m sharing with you a couple ways I’ve been using burlap in unexpected ways.
Now burlap is a fabric that I have sort of a love/hate relationship with. I love the look of it and I love what other people do with it, but I don’t love to work with it myself. It’s itchy and messy and it makes my skin break out in a rash sometimes. Therefore I rarely use the stuff. I occasionally use it for a custom pillow request. Small bits of it here and there on a pillow or handbag design. But for the most part I stay away from the stuff anymore.
My small, word art pillows have been so fun to create. The vintage detailing that make them one-of-a-kind is my favorite thing about them.
All the lace, doilies, trim, yo-yos, and fabric scraps are vintage finds. Body of pillow is our signature canvas fabaric as well as the frayed-edge pieces on which the words are stenciled.
Today I’m sharing my Easter Tablescape and some Spring decor. Springtime is always so fresh and invigorating, the warming air, bright sunshine, green grass, and blooming flowers.
Last summer I introduced some new, smaller size pillow designs. I took my original designs from my larger pillows and began making them smaller for the smaller size pillows. These are perfect for a kids room, an accent pillow along with the larger pillow designs, on a bed, a small side chair, or just about anywhere you want to tuck a fun, squishy pillow.
I’ve been enjoying the slower pace of the last couple months. I’ve spent more time in my workroom just creating. Playing with new fabrics, fonts, and colors. Planning out a bit of a schedule for the year.
We recently had a family movie night and watched the newest ‘Cinderella’ movie. The one with real people. I know it’s not exactly a brand new movie. But we hadn’t seen it yet, and I have to say it’s really good. I have always loved the Cinderella story – I’m a romantic at heart, what can I say?! I love a rags to riches story 🙂
Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116 – Love is not Love… I find more and more I am drawn to the era of Victorian England and to the writings the people of Victorian England liked to read. Not all of it, mind you, but the romance and beauty portrayed draws me. Admittedly, I am quite happy to NOT […]
Sentimental Heart-Shaped Sweater Pillows Sentimental because the sweater used belonged to my Grandma. Heart-Shaped because of the obvious – the pillows are made in the shape of a heart. Sweater because, of course, the pillows are made from a sweater. And pillows because that’s what I do – I make pillows. The word vintage could possibly […]
Eight days into the new year already! Time for some Valentine Pillow designs. I brought back a couple classic designs from last year and added a few new, originals.
Merry Christmas! This year my Christmas decor involved a complete Living Room Makeover. You see, my walls have been needing painted for a couple or 5 years. I bought paint back in JANUARY and was pretty determined to get my walls all painted – ALL of them. Living Room, Dining Room, Stairway, Bathroom, Kitchen. I […]
